This presentation is intended to prepare attendees to assist their clients for the significant changes in evaluation and management (E/M) coding guidelines to be implemented in 2021. These changes will not only increase efficiency for providers and their coding staff, they will also potentially lessen compliance risk due to the ambiguous and overly complicated coding instructions currently in place. The session will provide tips and tricks on preparing for these changes in advance and will highlight the key documentation elements that will be necessary allowing for a focus on clinically relevant information based on the provider needs and the patient condition.
