Brightree, a revenue cycle management (RCM) company, thought it was already getting the maximum benefit from using UnitedHealthcare’s self-service tools on Link. But after receiving Link training, they were able to reduce their outbound call volume to UnitedHealthcare by almost 37 percent. Melissa Schultz, Manager of Revenue Cycle Operations at Brightree said:
The UnitedHealthcare [RCM team] visited our billing location to provide interactive training/guidance on the self-service tools through [the Link website]…within 30 days after the training, our call volume to UnitedHealthcare decreased by 36.8%. We were shocked with how much time and money we have saved on Intake Management processes all the way through to claims management within such a short amount of time. It has been extremely beneficial having this partnership with UnitedHealthcare.
