HBMA is pleased to bring you Part 2 of our three-part webinar series on the federal No Surprises Act (NSA). After covering the NSA’s good faith estimate requirement in the first webinar, Part 2 will focus on the NSA’s out-of-network protections from “surprise” medical bills. These protections apply to out-of-network emergency services and out-of-network care furnished at hospitals that are in-network for the patient. Emergency providers and hospital-based providers who are contracted to provide services at hospitals are most impacted by these new requirements.
This webinar will provide an overview of the NSA’s out-of-network protections as well as a summary of HBMA’s advocacy on the operational issues with these regulations. The presentation will be followed by a moderated discussion with members of the HBMA Government Relations Committee about how HBMA members can help their clients prepare for these new protections.
