The Healthcare Billing and Management Association (HBMA) is pleased to present the 2015 Annual Compliance Conference, to be held at the Hyatt Regency Newport Beach in Newport Beach, California March 17-19.

HBMA recently developed an online tool to help healthcare providers find medical billing companies that will meet their healthcare billing needs.  The Professional Billing Service Locator (PBSL) will immediately identify the specialties, service details, and contact information of the most relevant and qualified medical billing companies in the region that fit a medical practice’s specific profile.
The HBMA announces the program for the HBMA Fall Medical Billing Conference which will include sessions on Reimbursement Models, Successful ICD-10 Implementation, Addressing Administrative Simplification, EHR Incentives, Meaningful Use Overview, Healthcare Reform Updates from Washington, and more. 
The HBMA announced its popular Fall Conference for medical billing professionals, Sept 18-20, 2013 at Caesar's Palace Hotel in Las Vegas.The two-and-a-half day conference offers educational sessions covering important topics such as: compliance issues including ICD-10 updates,using  latest technologies, updates in HIPAA legislation and enforcement, administrative simplifications to improve business operations, improving social media outreach, understanding the CMS EHR Program, new ways to extract data and analyze a practice’s revenue cycle, and the impact ACOs will have on existing RCM business models.
HBMA announces its new alliance with Everest College, a part of Corinthian Colleges, one of the largest post-secondary education companies in North America for Medical and Insurance Billing and Coding (MIBC) students.

Because of its significant role in revenue cycle management, the Healthcare Billing and Management Association (www.hbma.org) was invited recently to participate in discussions with the National Committee on Vital and Health Statistics (NCVHS) Subcommittee on Standards in Washington, D.C. to provide an update on the status of transitioning from ICD-9 CM to ICD-10 CM by the October 1, 2014 effective date.

The Healthcare Billing and Management Association (HBMA.org) held its annual HBMA Spring Educational Conference in Orlando, Florida, where a number of medical billing issues were discussed, primarily government involvement in the business of healthcare billing.  Insurance market reform entitlement and tax reform, sequestration, debt limit, and the SGR fix were topics covered by HBMA Director of Government Affairs, Bill Finerfrock Other sessions included information on ACOs, ICD-10 Readiness and more.
