HBMA Names Andre Williams New Executive Director
WASHINGTON – The Healthcare and Billing Management Association (HBMA) announced today that Andre Williams has been named the executive director for the organization. In his new role, Williams will lead all aspects of the organization’s strategy and operations. In addition, Williams will manage the headquarters staff and assume responsibility for meeting the strategic and operational goals set by HBMA’s leadership.
“This is an exciting time of change and growth for HBMA that requires strong leadership,” said HBMA President Jeanne Gilreath, CHBME. “Andre’s knowledge of the issues facing our industry as well as his proven track record in turning collaborative strategic thinking into actionable plans is the right combination for HBMA’s future direction.”
Williams brings more than 20 years of experience in association leadership, healthcare administration, billing management, consulting and accounting. Prior to joining HBMA, Williams served as CEO/Executive Director of the Association of Black Cardiologists, Inc./Pioneer in Cardiology, LLC. Previously, he served as Associate Director, Society Services & Collaborations/Senior Accountant for the American College of Cardiology. Williams spent five years as a healthcare consultant, after also serving as the CEO of the Northern Virginia Cardiology Associates. Williams holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration/Accounting from Lincoln University.
Andre Williams starts in his new role beginning March 10, 2014.
