Bob WoodwardORLANDO, FL., December 7, 2012 - The Healthcare Billing & Management Association (www.hbma.org) announced today that award-winning reporter, Bob Woodward of The Washington Post, will present the opening keynote address to kick off HBMA's Spring Educational Conference celebrating the association's 20th anniversary year.  The conference will be held from April 17-19, 2013 at the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort in Orlando, Florida.

HBMA is the premiere, non-profit educational resource and advocacy group representing third-party medical billing companies and billing professionals.  HBMA President, Don Rodden said, "We are pleased to present a person of Bob Woodward's status and repute.  He is considered to be one of the best reporters of our time. Our association is the best at what we do, so what a great match," continued Rodden.

Woodward is well known for his Pulitzer-Prize winning work on the Watergate scandal in 1972.  Later, in 2002, he won the National Affairs Pulitzer Prize as the lead reporter for The Post's articles on the aftermath of the September 11 terrorist attacks.  He has also authored or co-authored 17 best-selling books.  The Price of Politics is his most recent book, and was released earlier this year.

The HBMA Spring Educational Conference and 20th anniversary celebration will include general and concurrent educational sessions focused on today's important issues in the billing and accounts receivable management industry.  The Exhibitor Showcase will feature vendors offering products and services for the billing professional.  Breakfasts, luncheons, and receptions will provide important networking time for all attendees, and the 20th anniversary celebration on Thursday night will provide a wonderful time for members to reflect on the association's successes over the past twenty years.

The HBMA Spring Educational Conference is open to healthcare billing professionals  who are interested in gaining knowledge that will enhance their careers in this changing and competitive healthcare industry.  Conference sessions have been specifically designed to confront the challenges facing medical billing companies, as well as address the unique needs of healthcare providers who manage their own billing.
