As healthcare continues to react to an ever-changing environment there is increasing responsibility and accountability for third party providers.  This session will discuss key operational areas to focus on to better serve hospital and physician clients.  The focus will be on the importance of strong internal controls, cybersecurity and understanding and compliance with Internal Revenue Code §501(r).

3. Define the key elements of Internal Revenue Code §501(r) and the applicability to healthcare billing professionals.
4. Identify the responsibilities of third party providers with respect to Internal Revenue Code §501(r) compliance and accountability.
5. Leverage existing controls for National Institute of Standards and Technology cybersecurity framework.
