Mary spent 21 years as a Navy Intelligence and logistics officers, training more than 40,000 military and civilian personnel. She ran bases such as Pearl Harbor and Barbers Point.

Eric Christensen, MCSE, CCNA, CHCP, Director of Client Services, Healthcare Compliance Pros  

Eric is a nationally recognized speaker and author on compliance topics and practice management. Eric co-founded Healthcare Compliance Pros in 2011, bringing his 30+ years’ experience in healthcare compliance, IT administration, and education to the organization. Eric’s background in IT administration has been instrumental in providing a technical view of an organization's adherence to HIPAA Privacy and Security policies. Eric’s experience and expertise are highly regarded in the Security Risk Audits he is asked to perform for hundreds of healthcare entities. Eric’s experience brings a unique perspective into compliance and implementation in the medical community. Eric is highly involved in on-site client audits to ensure HIPAA regulatory requirements are effectively implemented to protect healthcare entities from serious violations resulting in serious fines. Eric possesses a broad knowledge of telemedicine, e-PHI, MIPS/MACRA, employee hiring and firing, and more. Eric’s educational experience in Healthcare Administration and Information Technology partners well with his many certifications; MCSE, CCNA, CHCP, and others. Eric regularly holds educational webinars to assist healthcare organizations understand new HIPAA and OSHA laws including information about MIPS/MACRA and other regulatory requirements.  


Bill Finerfrock, HBMA Director of Government Affairs

Bill Finerfrock has worked in and with the U.S. Congress and Federal agencies for more than two decades. He is the co-founder and Executive Director of the National Association of Rural Health Clinics. At Capitol Associates, he specializes in health care financing, health system reform, health workforce and rural health issues. Bill has been a speaker at numerous state and national health professional meetings and has been published extensively in newsletters and professional journals. He serves on the HBMA Government Relations Committee and is responsible for developing relationships with both governmental agencies and key legislative committees in order to monitor and advise HBMA on all legislation that comes before Congress that affects the billing industry. In addition to publishing a monthly government relations report to HBMA members, he monitors the regulatory agencies’ implementation of regulations.


Charles Holive, Managing Director of Strategy Consulting, Sisense

Charles Holive is a recognized industry thought leader in data monetization, business innovation, analytics and AI. In the last 10 years, he has specialized in creating, scaling and running new analytics business units that generated tens of millions of incremental yearly revenue. Charles leads the strategy consulting business at Sisense, a leading platform for modern analytics builders. Sisense empowers developers, data engineers, and business analysts to simplify complex data and transform it into powerful analytic apps. Charles provides a unique CDO-on-demand service, which partners with customers to help them shape and execute their short-term and long-term data, analytics and artificial intelligence strategies. He joined Sisense from GE Healthcare, where he spent 15 years in various leadership positions globally. As the executive vice president of analytics and AI for digital product management, Charles and his team championed analytics and artificial intelligence products and go-to-market strategy across the $19B healthcare business unit. Charles is a regular speaker at industry events, influencing the way companies start leveraging their data as an asset, and upgrading Analytics & AI organizations into profit centers. Charles holds an engineering and business master degree from the French École Centrale de Lille. Outside of the office, Charles has a passion for creating music.


David Jakielo, MPM, President, Seminars and Consulting

Dave Jakielo’s experience includes 12 years in hospital patient finance and four decades of managing physician practices and Medical Billing Companies.  Dave has been speaking, consulting and teaching business methods throughout North America, Europe and Asia. He is Past President of HBMA.  He is co-author of four books and he is a columnist in the trade journals RCM Advisor and BC Advantage. Dave is a graduate of University of Pittsburgh and received his Masters in Management from Carnegie Mellon University. Since 1995 he has been President of his own Seminar and Consulting Company and has spoken in the past numerous times at the HBMA, RBMA, MGMA and HFMA conferences.


Becky Kopecky, Vice President, Client Management and Business Intelligence, ALN Medical Management 

Becky is responsible for the overall design of ALN’s delivery operations and all business intelligence/analytics services. She also oversees the service configuration and onboarding of all new clients. She has been in several roles at ALN over the past decade, including serving as a Billing Manager and leading all RCM Operations. Prior to ALN, she began her career as an accountant.


Sean McSweeney, MBA, Chief Executive Officer, Apache Health

Sean was the Co-Founder and CEO of the medical billing company Cobalt Health, which he built and then sold to a private equity group in 2015. Prior to that he was Director at 4medica a Lab and EMR software company. Sean had P&L responsibility for the $250M CT division of Toshiba Medical and various sales and marketing roles at GE Healthcare. Sean holds an MBA from Columbia University where he was a TA in statistics and decision models, as well as a degree in Computer Engineering from Dartmouth College. Sean has had many speaking engagements ranging from industry conferences to local Venture Capital groups to clinical presentations to hundreds of physicians. Most recently in December 2018 he spoke at the G2 revenue cycle management conference.


Karna W. Morrow, CPC, RCC, CCS-P, Consultant, Coding Strategies

Karna W. Morrow is the manager of the consulting team at Coding Strategies, Inc. located in Powder Springs, GA. Karna’s areas of expertise include billing and collections, coding and compliance, revenue enhancement, and process improvement within medical billing firms, community and academic hospitals, as well as private practices. She routinely presents coding and documentation tips for both Interventional Radiology and Diagnostic Radiology to the National Healthcare Antifraud Association (NHCAA), Healthcare Business Managers Association (HBMA), and multiple state chapters for Radiology Billing Manager Association (RBMA). Karna holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree, from Weber State University. She also holds the professional certification of Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Radiology Certified Coder (RCC), and Certified Coding Specialist (CCS-P). She is also an AHIMA approved ICD-10-CM Trainer. Karna is an active member of Radiology Billing Managers Association (RBMA) serving on the Coding Subcommittee and on theEducational Materials & Products Committee. She is also a frequent contributor of coding and compliance articles to the Oncology Practice Management publication.


Sean O'Brien, President & Chief Executive Officer, @RISK Technologies Inc. 

Sean O'Brien is the President of @RISK Technologies, a Cognitive Security Management Technology. Mr. O'Brien's passion for combatting cyber threat comes from his background as an Army Ranger where the concepts of Asymmetric thinking were instilled in him. With a strong mathematics and engineering background, Mr. O'Brien was known during his military career as an out of the box thinker who questioned conventional thinking and contributed to modifying doctrine. After his career, he spent time supporting the DOD and Intelligence community in various roles that leveraged his technical approaches and desire to combat global threats and spent time at IBM before starting YaData Solutions. The company delivered analytic platforms that integrated human lessons learned from complex combat operations. After selling YaData, Sean and his team's vision expanded. Today, @RISK focuses on democratizing analytics. Eliot Payson, MBA, Chief Information Officer, ALN Medical Management

Eliot is Chief Information Officer at ALN Medical Management and responsible for the overall technology strategy and delivery at ALN. This includes the provision of the underlying technical and business process architecture for ALN’s revenue cycle management and EMR solutions. Prior to ALN Eliot was an Associate Partner at Accenture leading business process outsourcing and technology engagements over 12-year period.  Eliot has a MBA from the University of Colorado and BA, Mathematics from Colorado College.    


Jennifer Searfoss, Esq, CPOM, CHCI, CMCS, Chief Executive Officer, SCG Health

Jennifer is the Managing Owner and Chief Executive Officer of SCG Health, LLC since its founding in 2011. In this role she serves as the lead consultant and facilitator for clients, key software developer for all SCG Health products and lead webmaster for all SCG Health interactive products. Jennifer is a frequent speaker at local and national medical conferences. Prior to founding SCG Health, Jennifer was the Vice President of External Provider Relations for UnitedHealthcare, where she established and led the Provider Communications & Advocacy unit. Before going behind the iron curtain, Jennifer served as the External Relations Liaison for the Washington, DC-based Government Affairs Department of the Medical Group Management Association. Jennifer has had the pleasure of teaching at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County where she taught health care law, international diplomacy and women & politics and currently serves as a guest professor at George Washington University teaching health care policy.
