This presentation offers a company profile of a Revenue Cycle Management Services firm which utilizes two subcontracted subsidiaries located overseas employing two hundred billers, coders, and other revenue cycle experts. Compliance risks associated with subcontracting offshore entities are discussed, in addition to legal restrictions imposed at the federal and state levels. Strategies to ensure compliance with the HIPAA Security and Privacy Rules will be offered including systems and organizational controls; administrative, physical, and technical safeguards; and provisions for subcontractor agreements.
