Speaker Bios:

Connie Leonard has been at CMS since 1999. She has been in various positions in the Provider Compliance Group since 2008 and currently serves as the Director of the Provider Compliance Group overseeing medical review, prior authorization, recovery audit contractors, and other compliance activities pertaining to Medicare FFS. Connie has a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from the University of Baltimore and an MBA from Loyola University Maryland.

Dan Schwartz has been employed by CMS since 1996, spending the majority of his career in the medical review arena. He has been in various positions in the Provider Compliance Group (PCG) and currently serves as the Director of the Division of Medical Review in PCG. He has provided technical expertise and leadership in various roles, especially in the areas of medical review, contractor oversight, and policy. Mr. Schwartz earned a Master of Science degree in Applied Behavioral Science from Johns Hopkins University.
