“We are delighted to have HBMA (www.hbma.org) members hear Speaker Gingrich’s positions on healthcare reform. He is a political insider who is highly familiar with the challenges and evolution of the delivery and financing of healthcare, and how all this will be impacted by the outcome of November’s Presidential election. His message will certainly be from the conservative perspective, and thought provoking for our consideration,” stated HBMA’s Executive Director Bradley J. Lund.
Invited government speakers to the Wednesday conference who will be addressing healthcare issues are: Jonathan Blum, Deputy Director, Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS.) and Jacob Reider, MD, Sr. Policy Adviser, Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology.
The afternoon Keynote Address will be given by David Cutler, PhD, MIT. Dr. Cutler (with degrees from Harvard and MIT) served on the Council of Economic Advisers and the National Economic Council during the Clinton Administration and has advised the Presidential campaigns of Bill Bradley, John Kerry, and Barack Obama, as well as being Senior Health Care Advisor for the Obama Presidential Campaign and a Senior Fellow for the Center for American Progress.
