The PECOS Mystery: Problems Solved & Your Questions Answered

Wednesday, November 10, 2010
Program will begin at NOON Eastern Time (11am CT / 10am MT / 9am PT)
The January 3, 2011 Provider Enrollment, Chain and Ownership System (PECOS) enrollment deadline for all Medicare providers who order or refer is now less than 3 months away. Physicians who were previously credentialed with Medicare must also be enrolled in PECOS, but you have either never accessed PECOS and do not know what to do, have problems getting through the online enrollment process, or have questions with no answers readily available. We can fix that.
What are some of the issues surrounding the confusion with filing online PECOS enrollment? Is PECOS really faster than paper applications? Will you be able to complete PECOS enrollment in a timely proper fashion so you and your providers won’t have your claims denied or billing privileges revoked? How do you determine if your application has been accepted and/or approved or denied? What are some convenient ways to get through this process as easily and painlessly as possible and know when and what to do the next time enrollment files need to be updated? How do you determine if your providers are on the ordering/referring list or in limbo?
We encourage you to have members of your team – billing, credentialing, etc. – who interact with ordering/referring or any providers attend this Webinar so that they can guide your referral base to resources to streamline enrollment (and keep those referrals coming your way).
This event is being offered to HBMA MEMBERS ONLY as a free benefit of membership.
Please note, YOU MUST REGISTER FOR THIS EVENT TO RECEIVE THE LOG-IN INFORMATION. This information will be provided to all registrants 2 days prior to the meeting.
