ICD-10: Where are we and what should we be doing in this time of uncertain future for ICD-10?

Presenters: Curt Cvikota, President, Cvikota Company, Inc., Bill Finerfrock, President, Capitol Associates and Director of Government Relations, HBMA , Melody Mulaik, President, Coding Strategies, Inc.

Description: The ICD-10 webinar series is back! Join members of the ICD-10 Committee for an update on ICD-10 implementation.  Important issues such as technology, PM services, coding and regulatory components will be discussed.

Preparing for ICD-10 is not just for coders.  The quality of clinical data and how it is used by EMRs and the providers themselves will drive the success of your clients’ ICD-10 implementation.  The coding segment will highlight what billing companies should address with both their office and non-office based practices to achieve mutual success. Bill Finerfrock will provide an update on federal legislative or regulatory actions relative to delays or changes to the October 1, 2015 effective date.  He will review the circumstances under which the Congress delayed the October 1, 2014 date and whether similar circumstances could repeat in 2015. Curt Cvikota will identify and assess the role and responsibilities that information technology needs to provide in preparing, testing and implementing ICD10. There will be ample time for questions from the audience!

More ICD-10 webinars will be announced and rolled out in 2015! Stay tuned for more information coming soon!
