How do you adequately say thank you to so many
people who made the HBMA 2012 Spring Educational Conference last week
such a success?? I will begin with the Education Committee who worked
for the last 8+ months to make the educational opportunities fit the
needs of our members = working ON YOUR BUSINESS instead of working FOR your business. I am confident that all who attended walked away with an arsenal of tools.
It was overwhelming to see so many exhibitors this year!! We hit a new RECORD = 61 exhibitors in attendance - with many joining us for the first time. THANK YOU exhibitors for your presence and support!! To our SPONSORS, an overwhelming amount of gratitude for your 'over and above' contributions to the success of the HBMA 2012 Spring Educational Conference!
If you were there, you already know what I'm talking about. If
you missed this incredible event, stay tuned - the HBMA Publications
Committee is already in the process of producing a SPECIAL EDITION of HBMA BILLING
that will highlight all aspects of this conference. It won't be the
same as 'being there' - but I'm betting it will be pretty darn close!
Oh, one more thing, congratulations to ALL of the winners from the multitude
of drawings. I'm betting a lot of your photos will 'show up' in the
special issue of BILLING. I sure had a great time giving away all of
Finally, allow me to share the best piece of advice I heard in our closing keynote session with Bryan Dodge: 'Look
at it this way. Each day is a brand new day. You get to take what you
learned yesterday and move it forward. You get to let go of what you
needed to let go of, so it won't slow you down.
inspired to want great things in life for yourself. Figure
out what those things are and go get them. Find the something that
truly inspires you more than any 'stuff' ever could or would.
Bring Energy Home.'
Paul Myers is the HBMA Director of Education and likes warm sunny days, baking pretty much anything you can think up, cuddly kittens, and dreams of becoming a radio announcer when he grows up. Truth be told, he's not much on kittens, but that radio announcer part is pretty darn accurate!!! He's still trying to figure out what 'growing up' means...
