The Complexities of the EHR Industry Will Affect Your Business – Will You Be Ready?Wednesday, August 3rd 2011 4:57 pm
“Understanding
the complexities of EHR implementations and how it affects the revenue cycle
are some of the greatest challenges I have faced since I’ve been in the medical
billing industry.” Sound familiar? I’ve heard it from a number of our members
recently, so you’re certainly not alone. HBMA’s
EHR Committee is already gearing up for our annual EHR Summit in November, and
while the extensive educational resources offered in Scottsdale will be
invaluable, our members are still faced with a number of immediate business and
strategy decisions. That’s why we’ll be hosting the EHR Business
Model Planning meeting in Chicago August 4-5. Designed to help the EHR Committee determine the resources and
educational tools that HBMA can provide to assist its members, the EHR Business
Model Planning meeting will explore the current “state of the EHR industry” and
discuss the various opportunities and challenges medical billing companies are
currently facing. We have arranged for Ron Sterling, a nationally recognized
expert on EHR, to lead the discussion and assist the EHR Committee and
interested members to identify and further develop the EHR planning resources
needed by the membership base of our association. There
are still slots available to participate in this crucial EHR Business Model
Planning Meeting. For more information or to register, please contact HBMA’s
Executive Director, Brad Lund, at brad@hbma.org. EHR, Chair

I'm new to this business and having trouble getting a client, I've resigned from my job and decided to concentrate on the business; it has been 2 months and feeling hopeless, on finding my first client... Please, I would like some advice on how I can market my company without spending a lot of money that I don't have. I've sent out brooches and did a lot of cold calling. Walked to many Doctors offices, personally introduced my company, and still did not get any inquires.
