HBMA Turns Spotlight on Orlando and Chicago: May Meetings to Focus on Regional Challenges

Tuesday, April 26th 2011 9:00 am
Mrs. Sherri Dumford, CHBME

With each new change in legislation, maintaining a regional focus in today’s healthcare arena is becoming more and more crucial. To this end, HBMA is announcing  the addition of two upcoming regional events – Thursday, May 12 in Orlando, Fla. and Friday, May 13 in Chicago. While the meetings will address some issues from a national or macro level, each one is really designed to provide attendees insights on the specific health issues affecting their own states, including a better understanding of accountable care organizations, RAC audits and compliance, AMA’s Heal the Claims Initiative, and impending hurdles to effective billing.

Consisting of participation by Medicare Administrative Contractor (MAC) representatives, commercial payors and other healthcare leaders, the meetings are part of a larger HBMA initiative to build a regional organizational structure consistent with that of CMS (Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services) MACs. For more information on how you or your customers could register for the Orlando meeting or the Chicago meeting, visit HBMA’s individual event pages, email sherri@hbma.org or call 877-640-4262.
