HBMA’s Annual Conference Now Just a Month Away!Tuesday, August 17th 2010 12:25 pm
HBMA’s
2010 Annual Conference will be held at the Hilton St. Louis at the Ballpark,
September 12-14, 2010, and will feature three full days of educational
sessions, legislative insights and networking opportunities for the medical
billing community. Year after year, HBMA’s Annual Conference proves to be the
premier educational and networking event for medical billing professionals as
well as first party billers who specialize in office-based billing and practice
management. Now that the Meaningful Use guidelines have been published,
healthcare provider interest in electronic health records is reaching new
heights. Newcomers and industry veterans looking to stay on the cutting edge
with timely and relevant information won’t want to miss Bill Finerfrock’s
government update or the EHR-focused sessions by HBMA’s EHR consultant, Mark
Anderson. On
Sunday, September 12 at 4 p.m., Bill Finerfrock, HBMA’s government
representative and vice president of health policy for Capitol Associates in
Washington D.C., will present the HBMA Washington Update, which will
address how current legislative and regulatory activity is affecting the billing
community. Mark R. Anderson, FHIMSS, CPHIMS, CEO and Healthcare IT futurist of
the AC Group, Inc., will host a post-conference workshop on Tuesday, September
14 from 1-5pm entitled, Ten Steps for Creating and Implementing Your Own EHR
Program. Anderson will also lead an educational session, EHR Marketplace
– Hype or Reality. The
HBMA Annual Conference features 16 pre-conference and post-conference programs,
as well as an array of concurrent educational sessions focused on today’s
issues in the billing management industry. The conference also offers extensive
networking opportunities, highlighted by the Exhibitor Showcase, where
attendees are able to meet face-to-face with technology and service vendors,
consultants and other healthcare business partners to learn about the latest
technology and administrative advances. As
always, the Annual Conference will also feature a full slate of receptions and
special events, highlighted by a Gateway EDI-sponsored reception at the Gateway
Arch for all registered attendees, their guests and exhibitors. For more
information on the conference sessions, keynotes or other planned events,
please visit the HBMA event page. We
look forward to seeing you in St. Louis!
